Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang'i has said the Jubilee Party is ready to be part of the team that will form the next government ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Matiang’i spoke on Monday at the Kiambu Golf Club during a meeting attended by party delegates.
He said the Jubilee leadership was committed to working for Kenyans and listening to the concerns of wananchi.
“We will form the next government, and we will work for the people,” Matiang’i said.
The former Interior Cabinet Secretary also revealed that the party will hold another delegates’ meeting in Kiambu next week, which will be attended by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Next week, we will hold a proper meeting here where former President Uhuru Kenyatta will address Jubilee members,” he said.
Matiang’i explained that Uhuru was unable to attend Monday’s meeting due to the ongoing demonstrations taking place in different parts of the country.
“Our party leader Uhuru Kenyatta could not make it today while other Kenyans are demonstrating on the other side, but next week he will be here,” he added.
He urged Kenyans to support the Jubilee Party in the 2027 elections, saying the party was focused on addressing the challenges affecting ordinary citizens.
Matiang’i also called on President William Ruto to listen to the concerns being raised by Kenyans, noting that the high cost of living, insecurity and rising fuel prices were major issues affecting the country.
He added that the party supports the ongoing demonstrations over the rising cost of fuel and other essential commodities.
