Ted Turner, the American media mogul who revolutionised cable television, died aged 87 on May 6, 2026.
He founded CNN, the world’s first 24-hour news network, reshaping how audiences consume breaking news.
Turner also built a major cable empire, including TBS and TNT, before selling Turner Broadcasting System to Time Warner for $7.3 billion.
