Mobile Money and Human Error
Mobile money services are widely used across Kenya for daily payments. According to the Communications Authority of Kenya, millions of transactions are processed every day.
While most go through without issues, errors still occur. These often include:
- Sending money to the wrong number
- Entering the wrong amount
- Confirming transactions too quickly
Even a single extra digit can significantly change the amount sent.
Murugi’s Reaction
After realising the mistake, Murugi said the situation quickly became clear. Instead of reacting with frustration, she chose to look at it differently.
