Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, has announced its first-ever "Bowl for a Cause" Bowling Challenge, scheduled for Friday, April 17 at Village Market.
The event, running from 4.00 pm to 7.30 pm, seeks to raise funds for free, critical medical services in Kenya’s most vulnerable communities.
MSF which has operated for over 50 years, provides life-saving care to those facing epidemics, war injuries and malnutrition.
In Kenya, the humanitarian organisation has been active in regions such as Dadaab and Homa Bay, responding to outbreaks of measles, cholera and malaria, while also providing mental health support and advanced HIV care.
"Each pin you knock down represents a disease or crisis we're working to defeat," the organisation stated in its proposal, highlighting that proceeds will directly support ongoing projects.
The event offers multiple ways for the public and corporate entities to contribute. Solo participants will have to part with Sh5,000, corporate teams Sh40,000, sponsorship packages Sh100,000 and gold sponsorship Sh250,000.
The Standard sponsorship includes one team of eight, a certificate of appreciation and logo display at the venue.
The gold sponsorship offers additional benefits such as a five-minute speaking slot, exhibition space and a stand-alone media recognition.
Interested sponsors are encouraged to contact Bill Kamaliki, donor relationship manager, while individuals and teams can reach out to Elizabeth Adambo, engagement officer.
Registration is also available via a QR code provided in the event materials.
