Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has said he is ready to fully give his life to God following a recent Court of Appeal ruling that allowed him access to KSh537 million that had been frozen for several years.

The Court of Appeal of Kenya dismissed an application seeking to maintain restrictions on Sonko’s accounts, effectively upholding an earlier High Court decision that granted him access to the funds.
The money had been frozen in 2020 as part of investigations into suspected proceeds of crime, leading to a prolonged legal process that lasted several years.
Shortly after the ruling, Sonko shared videos on social media showing him singing worship songs and thanking God for the outcome.

He described the decision as a breakthrough and expressed gratitude for what he termed as divine intervention after years of legal and personal challenges.
“After everything I have gone through, I am ready to fully give my life to God,” Sonko said while expressing thanks and worship following the ruling.
