Digital content creator Oga Obinna has wowed fans online following a candid session between him and his production team.

During a recent episode of the Obinna Show Live, the former radio presenter paused the usual entertainment to deliver a stern lecture on lifestyle, relationships, and financial discipline.

The clip, which has since gone viral across TikTok and Instagram, shows Obinna addressing his male crew members.

“To all the men that work with me, this is what I will tell you guys: Watch and learn. Musipojifunza kitu kwa the way I’m moving, bro, hiyo ni shauri yenu,” Obinna said.

He warned that certain romantic decisions could be the primary obstacle to their professional and personal progress.

The Prenup and the MOU

Obinna’s first point of advice centered on legal protection when entering into domestic arrangements. He urged his team to avoid moving in with partners without clear, documented agreements.

The creator suggested that "living in sin" or casual cohabitation without a plan had cost him significant progress in the past.

" Leo ukiamua unaingia kwa nyumba na mtu, bro, sign a prenup. Kama anakuja amemove in, andikianeni MOU, andika rubber stamp, weka kwa wakili. Sema unakuja vile uko na tukiachana unatoka vile uko.”

His reasoning was simple: a clear exit strategy ensures that both parties leave with exactly what they brought in, preventing messy property disputes later.

"Don’t Put Her Name on the Title"

Perhaps the most controversial part of the lecture was Obinna’s warning against registering assets in a partner's name. He advised his men never to put anything they "love" or have worked hard for—be it land, a house, a car, or even a phone—under a woman’s name unless they are prepared to lose it.

"Don't try to put anything that you love in a woman's name. Unless you are willing to lose it," he cautioned.

He emphasized that common sense must always override love when it comes to documentation. This advice follows a series of high-profile break-up battles seen in the Kenyan celebrity circuit over the last year, where assets became central points of conflict.

Background: Lessons from the Past

Obinna’s advice appears to be rooted in his own lived experiences. The creator has been open about his past relationship struggles and the financial toll of messy separations.

He admitted that if he hadn't made certain mistakes in the past, he would be much further along in his career today.

He pointed to the power couples who broke up in 2025 as a cautionary tale. He noted that even pairs that no one expected to part ways eventually found themselves in "battles."

The session ended with Obinna reminding his crew that the streets are unforgiving. He urged them to be students of his movements and to learn from his mistakes rather than repeating them.

For the men working behind the scenes of one of Kenya's biggest digital shows, the message was clear: protect your peace, protect your assets, and keep your common sense sharper than your feelings.
