The lavish first birthday party for the daughter of Dorea Chege and DJ Dibul provided a colourful setting for an unexpected meeting. Director Ritchie, the prominent digital director of the Wadosi Family, was seen engaged in a focused side-chat with music star Bahati.

Ritchie wore his signature sleek style for the garden festivities. Bahati stood out in a distinct cowboy ensemble, featuring a wide-brimmed straw hat and a patterned scarf.

The two men appeared momentarily detached from the surrounding birthday cheers as they shared what appeared to be professional and personal insights.

The Advice Revealed

Following the event, Ritchie took to social media to reveal the nature of their conversation. He shared that Bahati had offered him profound advice regarding personal relationships.

According to Ritchie, Bahati emphasised the importance of keeping domestic issues private.

"Hapa @bahatikenya amenishow Hata mkiachana, msirudishe mambo ya nje ndani ya nyumba. Mnakosania huko ndani, huko ndiko mnamalizia,” Ritchie revealed.

Bahati’s advice went further, addressing the concept of "space" in a marriage. He told Ritchie that there is no such thing as "give me space" in the traditional sense.

Instead, he defined space as "perseverance, understanding, and coming back together". He concluded that love is about staying and building again rather than running away.

“Hakuna ati “nipee space”… space ni kuvumiliana, ni kuelewana, ni kurudiana. Mapenzi sio kukimbia ni kukaa, kupigania, na kujenga tena.”

A Recent Reconciliation

This conversation is particularly relevant as it comes just one month after Ritchie and his wife, Rena, reconciled. The Wadosi Family had previously announced their separation in 2025, a move that left many of their followers heartbroken.

The couple remained apart for five months before deciding to give their marriage a second chance. In a video shared with their fans, Rena explained that the restoration of their marriage was for the sake of their children and for the glory of God.

"We have decided that we can give this a second shot. For the sake of our children and us... so keep praying for us."

Navigating Challenges

The path to this reunion was complex.During their time apart, Ritchie had "soft-launched" a new partner on social media. He later suggested this was related to filming a series called Lazizi, though the woman involved disputed this claim and said they were in an actual relationship.

Rena also publicly confronted Ritchie about a past incident from 2009 where he allegedly locked himself in a room with a dancer. Ritchie defended himself by saying the room was small and they were only dancing.

Despite these public tensions, the couple held hands in a recent video as Rena led them in prayer for their union.
