The 2026 Safari Rally once again highlighted the dominance of specialised engineering, with Toyota and Hyundai leading the pack in the overall top 10 standings.
Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team secured the top spot with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally 1, a machine manufactured in Finland.
This model proved to be the most prevalent in the elite rankings, claiming four of the top ten positions, including first, third, and tenth places for the Finnish-built units, and sixth and ninth for those manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.
Hyundai Motorsport GmbH maintained a strong presence, with the German-manufactured Hyundai i20N Rally 1 clinching both the second and fourth positions.
Meanwhile, the Skoda Fabia RS, produced by Skoda Motorsport in the Czech Republic, demonstrated remarkable consistency by occupying the fifth, seventh, and eighth spots.
This distribution underscores the international nature of the competition, featuring a mix of automotive powerhouses from Finland, Germany, Japan, and the Czech Republic.
