Kenyan travel vlogger Fredrick Marwa, known online as "iam_marwa," has revealed the unusual way his long-term relationship came to an end.

He discovered his Argentine partner, Rocio Cabrera, had broken up with him while he was browsing the internet.

Marwa shared the details of this discovery during a recent live broadcast on his YouTube channel.

A Shocking Discovery

Marwa told his viewers he was at home recovering from a cold when he received a phone call from a friend. The friend asked if he had seen what Cabrera had posted online.

Before he could check her personal accounts, he saw a headline on a popular Kenyan gossip page. The post stated that Cabrera had announced their separation.

The content creator expressed his disbelief at finding out this way. He explained that the news caught him completely off guard. He had been resting in bed when he saw the public announcement.

"It found me sleeping in my bed... I saw a big headline: Rocio Cabrera announces separation from Kenyan travel YouTuber,” Marwa said

Reasons for the Split

The couple had been together for approximately three years and shared a young son. Marwa suggested that Cabrera felt their current environment was not suitable for her goals.

He noted that she wished to pursue a music career and felt living in a rural village was a hindrance.

According to Marwa, Cabrera preferred a "flash city life" in locations such as London. He stated that he did not want to force her to stay if she was unhappy. He clarified that he did not initiate the separation himself.

Addressing Infidelity Claims

During the lengthy video, Marwa addressed rumours regarding the cause of the split. He strongly denied any allegations of cheating during their time together. He maintained that he has remained faithful since the day he met her.

He explained that while they had disagreements like any other couple, he was committed to building a life together. He stated that the decision to end the relationship was entirely Cabrera's idea.

"If somebody has decided to say they don't want to be in a relationship, you cannot force anyone,” he said.

Moving Forward

Marwa’s main concern is now the well-being of their son. He expressed sadness that his child would not be growing up in his home for the time being. He committed to providing financial support for his family starting in May.
