Comedian and activist Eric Omondi took a moment away from his busy philanthropic schedule to celebrate the most important women in his personal life on International Women’s Day.

In a public display of affection on social media, the self-proclaimed "President of Comedy Africa" shared a tribute to his ex-partner, Lynne Njihia, and their daughter, Kyla.

The gesture highlights a softer side of the man who has recently dominated headlines for his grassroots fundraising efforts.

A Sweet Celebration

Omondi shared a post wishing his followers a "Happy Women’s Day". He specifically tagged his babymama, Lynne (@l.y.nn.e), and their young daughter, Kyla (@kyla.omondi).

The post included a playful promise of gifts for the pair. Omondi told his followers he would be "Sending Tam Tam and Yam Yam shortly," followed by a string of heart and smiling emojis.

The term "Baba Toto" is a common Swahili endearment meaning "father of the child," underlining their bond, even after announcing separation about a year ago.

The Philanthropist Behind the Post

While this post was a personal celebration, Eric Omondi has recently rebranded himself as a champion for the poor in Kenya. Through his "Sisi kwa Sisi" (Us for Us) initiative, he has used his massive social media platform to raise millions of shillings for ordinary Kenyans.

His work often involves:

  • Clearing hospital bills for mothers detained in wards.
  • Raising school fees for children from low-income families.
  • Providing capital for small-scale traders (Mama Mbogas) to expand their businesses.

The Women by His Side

The two women Omondi chose to honour play significant roles in his life. Lynne Njihia is a content creator and model who was a constant support during Omondi’s transition from pure entertainment to social activism. The couple welcomed their daughter, Kyla, in August 2023.
