The musician issued a public statement on his verified social media platforms, urgently warning fans, promoters, and venues that advertisements about the supposed tour are not only unauthorized but highly deceptive.
“Let me be absolutely clear: neither my management nor I have any knowledge of, or involvement in, any such tour.”
Kartel firmly stated that no East African performances have been confirmed by his team and warned fans not to interact with or send any money to individuals promoting these events, as doing so could put them at serious risk.

Warning to Fans and Promoters
In the statement, the dancehall star cautioned that people advertising the events could be attempting to scam fans and industry stakeholders.
According to Kartel:
- No concerts in East Africa have been announced by his official team.
- Promoters advertising the shows are acting without authorization.
- Fans should avoid sending money or booking tickets through unofficial sources.
“Fans, promoters and venues are strongly advised not to engage with or send money to anyone making such claims, as these may be scams.”
Kartel also emphasized that all official updates about his appearances will come only through his verified platforms or authorized representatives. He identified his manager, Linton T.J. White, and attorney Jason Mitchell as the only people permitted to handle bookings on his behalf.
Festival Announcement Sparked Excitement
The clarification follows announcements linked to the launch of the Talanta Festival East Africa, a regional entertainment event unveiled in Kampala. Organizers had earlier named Kartel as the headline act for a concert scheduled for May 1, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The event was also expected to feature performances by several East African musicians from countries such as Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, as part of a broader cultural showcase.
