for MP Ng’eno, George Were, Robert Keter, Amos Rotich, Wycliffe Rono, and
Nicholas Kosgei on March 4, 2026/HANDOUTFamilies of the late MP Emurua Dikirr Johana Ng’eno, George Were, Robert Keter, Amos Rotich, Wycliffe Rono, and Nicholas Kosgei gathered at Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday morning for a prayer service.
They then proceeded to Africa Gospel Church (AGC) in Karen for a joint requiem mass.
Mourners, dressed in black, were visibly emotional as pastors received the bereaved families.
Organised by Parliament in collaboration with the families, the service drew Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, Members of Parliament, government officials, and clergy.
Attendees offered prayers and words of consolation, reflecting on the lives and contributions of the deceased.
On Thursday, Ng'eno will be taken to Emurua Dikirr Primary School for a service and overnight vigil, allowing community members to pay final respects.
The final funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, at Emurua Dikirr Primary School, expected to be attended by President William Ruto.
Ng’eno will be laid to rest that day, with the remaining victims’ interments concluding over the following day.
During the morning service, officers carried the caskets into the church as pastors delivered sermons, with the congregation observing a solemn moment of reflection, highlighting the national grief over the tragic loss.
