Recent global statistics as of October 2025 highlight a significant gap between the top-ranking nation and its closest competitors.
The United States follows in second place with 197.6 million users, representing less than half of India’s massive digital footprint on the platform.
Southeast Asian and Latin American nations continue to dominate the upper echelons of social media engagement. Indonesia and Brazil maintain strong presences with 120.9 million and 109.25 million users, respectively.
Close behind, the Philippines and Mexico are nearly neck-and-neck, boasting audiences of 95.8 million and 93.45 million. This trend extends into Vietnam and Bangladesh, where user bases have grown to 79 million and 64 million.
The African continent is also making its mark on the global top 20 list. Egypt leads the region with 51.55 million users, followed by Nigeria with 37.95 million.
South Africa and Algeria also feature prominently, with 27.85 million and 27.45 million users respectively.
