In a shocking development that has gripped Kenyan social media, a real estate agent has come forward claiming that viral videos featuring her alongside Russian national Yaytseslav Truhov have severely damaged her marriage, prompting her husband to demand a divorce out of shame.
The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, described the emotional toll in a heartfelt statement.
“My family is at stake. Everything is so messed up. My husband wants a divorce because, with all the shame, he cannot handle it. There is no way that I can lie about this. It has been so hard to clear my name. This is also a shame to me,” she said.
According to her, the fallout has extended beyond her immediate household, affecting her mother and other relatives who have been embarrassed by the online frenzy.
How the Encounter Began
The controversy began after videos surfaced showing Truhov approaching women in public spaces such as malls and streets, exchanging contact details, and later transitioning to scenes filmed inside his apartment.
In one clip involving the real estate agent, the footage appeared to suggest an intimate encounter. However, she insists the video was heavily edited to create a misleading impression.
She explained that their meeting was strictly professional. Truhov allegedly approached her at a mall, saying he had recently arrived in Kenya and was looking for a more affordable apartment.
As part of her work, she shared her contact details and later visited his residence to discuss available properties.

“Nothing Inappropriate Happened”
According to the agent, the conversation quickly shifted away from business upon her arrival.
“The conversation shifted away from anything professional, so I chose to leave immediately. Nothing inappropriate happened between us at any point,” she explained.
She added that she demanded reimbursement for her transport — approximately KSh 2,500 — declined food he offered, reminded him she was married, and suggested he pursue other women before leaving in a taxi.
Despite her swift exit, the edited clip allegedly portrayed a different narrative, fueling widespread speculation and judgment online.
Similar Claims From Other Women
Truhov has reportedly faced similar accusations in Ghana and is said to use Meta smart glasses to discreetly record interactions. While he has not publicly denied the claims in reported accounts, other women featured in his videos have come forward with their own explanations.
One woman stated that she gave him a fake name and number simply to end the interaction.
“I did not do anything with him. I only gave him a fake number to get him off my back. I don’t even live there,” she said.
Their accounts echo the real estate agent’s claim that the clips were manipulated to create viral appeal.
Divided Public Reaction
Public reaction, particularly on TikTok, has been sharply divided. Some social media users questioned the agent’s decision to meet a prospective client at his apartment in the evening rather than in a public setting during the day.
Others defended her, arguing that edited online content should not automatically be accepted as fact.
The situation has reignited broader conversations about consent, privacy, and the power of edited digital content to shape public perception.
