Elizabeth Kalondu Musyimi is carving out a major niche in Kenyan media. Known to many as "Your RedCarpet Host," she is a prominent digital broadcaster for Mpasho.

Musyimi has built a reputation for bringing high energy and professional flair to major red carpets. Her hosting skills were on display again at the recent Denri Africa Runway fashion show. This served as the latest example of her growing influence on the high-end circuit.

Engaging Audiences with Quick-Fire Style

A major key to Musyimi's success on the red carpet is her unique interviewing style. She is widely recognised for her "quick-fire" celebrity interviews. This format regularly goes viral online.

Her approach blends entertainment news with an unfiltered, conversational tone. It strikes a chord with younger audiences and makes celebrities feel more relatable.

This engaging style was shaped during her early days in radio. She hosted a gossip-driven segment that gained attention for its humour and relatability. Today, she uses those same skills to keep her red-carpet audiences hooked.

A Stellar Track Record Across Africa

Over the past two years, Musyimi has hosted some of the continent's most talked-about stages. Her portfolio features Africa Forward, the UFS Boxing Event, and the TikTok Awards South Africa 2025.

She has also hosted the Kenya Tourism Awards 2025, the Grand Fashion Awards, and the FEMA Awards.

In May 2026, Musyimi was named Top African Showbiz Reporter of the Year at the Africa Golden Awards. She won this title against several established media figures across the continent. She was also nominated for the Media and Blogger Influencer of the Year award.

From Behind the Camera to Center Stage

Musyimi’s rise to stardom came from hard work and determination. She did not start her media career in front of a microphone. Instead, she began behind the scenes as a photography assistant in Nairobi's central business district.

Her breakthrough came after she made the bold decision to quit her first demanding job without a plan.

Her former boss, Grace Kerongo, introduced her to the network and helped guide her professional development.

Expanding Her Broadcasting Footprint

Musyimi has successfully expanded her talents to television. She currently hosts Club 1 Xtra, a music show on KBC, every Friday from 4 pm. She remains mindful of its legacy.

She balances the history of the show with her own unique style.

Her TV background also includes NTV's Teen Republic, TV47's Beats Plug, and KBC Y254's Mashariki Show.
