Detectives are investigating an incident in which an electronic technician was found killed on the balcony of a commercial building along Kimathi Street in Nairobi.
The body was discovered on the balcony of the mezzanine floor long after the suspected murder, lying in a pool of blood.
The victim was identified as Gideon Kuria, 29. The motive for the murder was not immediately established, police said, adding that the body had injuries on the forehead and mouth.
His left wrist was dislocated when the body was picked up and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
The deceased was a tenant in the building. The body was discovered on the afternoon of February 8, 2026, long after the murder had occurred.
A team of detectives visited the scene as part of investigations into the killing. Officers also reviewed security footage in efforts to trace his movements.
Elsewhere in Kayole, Nairobi, a caretaker of a residential house was found dead in his room. Police said the body of Simon Gitau had no visible injuries when it was discovered on Sunday, long after his death. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Isebania, the body of James Oganga, 45, was found in his house with deep cuts to the head.

In Maua, Meru County, police are investigating an incident in which a woman was shot and injured during a confrontation between a mob and police officers.
One police officer lost two teeth after being hit by a stone during the February 6 incident, police said.
A team of officers had gone to a village to arrest a suspect wanted for obtaining money by false pretences when he resisted arrest and raised an alarm, attracting a mob that turned rowdy and attacked the police.
Police fired shots into the air to protect themselves. However, a stray bullet struck and seriously injured a 30-year-old woman. She was shot in the leg while at her place of work near the scene and was rushed to hospital.
Police said the suspect escaped during the chaos, while the injured officer was also taken to hospital.
On Sunday, police said a manhunt for the suspect was ongoing. Officers were also pursuing suspects behind the attack on police officers on duty.
Meanwhile, a suspect was lynched during a failed mobile phone robbery in the Parklands area of Nairobi. His accomplice escaped during the incident on February 8.
Police said the motorcycle used by the suspects was damaged. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police have discouraged mob lynching incidents and urged the public to surrender suspects to authorities for due process and possible arraignment.
