She explained that her mental state deteriorated gradually, often without her realising how serious it had become. At her lowest point, she found herself talking to herself uncontrollably.
“I reached a point where I could just be talking to myself, telling myself to shut up,” she said.
She added that the experience went beyond emotional pain and began to feel deeply unsettling and unfamiliar.

Sensing the “Angel of Death”

According to Ntalami, the intensity of her depression took on a spiritual dimension. She described moments where she felt an overwhelming sense of death around her.

“I could even sense the angel of death,” she revealed.

It was this frightening realisation that made her understand that what she was experiencing was not normal and that she urgently needed help.

Turning to Faith for Strength

Ntalami said her turning point came when she chose to surrender and seek spiritual intervention.
“After realising that it wasn’t normal, I went to my knees and told God, ‘I need you in my life,’” she said.
She emphasised that, for her, healing involved acknowledging the spiritual side of life alongside mental and emotional care.
