In Emurua Dikirr, Narok County, a 77-year-old woman was found dead in her house with injuries in the head, jands and neck.
Police suspect the woman was assaulted before being murdered in her house.

In Kiirua, Meru County, the body of a 35-year-old woman was found at a market after a suspected murder.
The body of Emily Gacheri was found in her bed long after she had been murdered, police said.
Police said the body had a deep cut on the left side of the chest. Police said a suspect in the murder escaped the scene. He is believed to be her brother-in-law.

In Ndugamano, Nyeri County, one Paul Kondu, 64 was killed after an assault. The assailants were yet to be arrested by February 3, police said as they announced they were pursuing the incident.
Murder cases have been on the rise in the country amid efforts to solve them. The police say up to eight cases are reported daily in a worrying trend.
Most of the cases remain unsolved so far, police said, adding they were pursuing the perpetrators and motives.
Some of them are linked to love triangles and land disputes, while others are caused by deals gone bad.
In Sio Port, Busia County, a boda boda rider was murdered and his motorcycle was stolen in an attack.
The body was found on the roadside near Sisenye Forest after the murder on Thursday, January 29, police said.
The body had multiple cuts on the forehead and neck when it was discovered by locals.

Elsewhere in Makengi village, Maara, Tharaka Nithi County, one Derrick Gikundi, 26, was found dead after he had been hit by a stone on the head.
The incident happened in an altercation by a known person. The motive was not established, but witnesses told police the two had argued in the area before Gikundi was hit in the head fatally. The assailant escaped the scene after the incident.
