Women aged 15-49 who have ever experienced physical violence by county/ROSA MUMANYI

A report by the Technical Working Group on Gender-Based Violence, including femicide, details the prevalence of physical violence experienced by women aged 15 to 49 across various Kenyan counties.

Murang'a leads the top 10 list with a significant 53.7 per cent of women reporting such experiences.

Other counties with high percentages include Uasin Gishu at 41.9 per cent, Kiambu at 41.7 per cent, and Embu at 40.3 per cent.

Kakamega also reports a high rate of 40.1 per cent.

The data further shows that Kirinyaga, Nandi, Nyeri, Kisumu, and Kisii all have over 35 per cent of women affected.
