The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) reported robust tax performance as it kicked off the second half of the 2025/26 financial year, collecting Sh307.634 billion in December 2025, surpassing the monthly target of Sh284.969 billion and recording a 108.0 percent performance rate.

Domestic taxes contributed Sh221.287 billion, exceeding the Sh201.593 billion target, while Customs and Border Control posted Sh85.927 billion, the highest monthly customs revenue in KRA history.

The strong showing reflects growth across key tax heads, including oil and non-oil related levies, and underscores ongoing efforts to improve compliance and revenue mobilization.
