Mumias East Member of Parliament, Peter Salasya, shared an elaborate plan for his domestic future.
The first-time legislator took to social media to showcase the progress of his magnificent three-storey mansion, which is currently under construction in his constituency.
While the architectural scale of the house is impressive, it is Salasya’s intention for the building that has sparked widespread debate.

The MP revealed that the house is designed to accommodate three wives, whom he intends to marry and house under one roof.
“All my three wives I will marry will stay here though sijawajua ni kina nani but will stay here as one family,” he said.
The Architectural Vision
In a 29-second video shared online, the camera pans across the expansive grey concrete structure. The building features large, modern windows with intricate metal grilles and several spacious balconies with black railings.
The footage begins with a view of the ground floor entrance, characterized by wide sliding metal doors.

As the camera tilts upwards, viewers can see the sheer height of the three-storey project, which includes multiple wings and scaffolding, indicating that exterior finishes are still in progress.
The background noise of the video captures the sounds of a busy construction site, with hammers and voices echoing as workers move about the property.

The "One Floor Per Wife" Strategy
Accompanying the video was a candid caption where Salasya admitted that the ambitious project has significantly impacted his personal wealth.
"This house has really drained my finances I won't build any house,” Salasya declared.
Despite the financial strain, he remains firm in his cultural identity as a typical polygamous Luhya man.
Salasya went on to explain the logistical layout of his future household. According to his plan, each wife will be assigned her own level within the mansion.
"Mmoja atakaa ground floor, wa pili first floor, third second floor halafu nitakuwa naita mmoja mmoja uko third floor. I’m a typical polygamous Luhya man,” he concluded.
The MP has frequently made headlines for his unconventional approach to politics and his open search for a life partner.

Since his election in 2022, he has often joked about his marital status and his desire to follow traditional Luhya customs regarding polygamy.
