American online personality and streamer IShowSpeed, born Darren Jason Watkins Jr., arrived in Kenya on Sunday, January 11, 2026, as part of his “Speed Does Africa” tour.

His landing in Nairobi attracted large crowds and intense public interest, with fans and onlookers following his every movement throughout the day.

Meet‑Ups at Mukuru Estate

One of the first major engagements on Speed’s itinerary was a visit to the Mukuru Affordable Housing project, where residents gathered alongside local content creators.

Among those present were well‑known Kenyan online figures such as Gen Z Goliath (Bradley Marongo) and Sammy Boy, who joined the streamer as he toured the estate and interacted with fans.

During the encounter with Gen Z Goliath, known for his height, Speed was seen examining the creator’s large shoes and playfully comparing them with his own, drawing cheers and laughter from the surrounding crowd. Gen Z Goliath and Speed later engaged in a short basketball free‑throw challenge as part of their meetup.

Interaction With Sammy Boy

Sammy Boy, a Kenyan online personality recognized for his social media presence, appeared alongside Gen Z Goliath and others during the Mukuru visit.

Videos shared online show Sammy Boy among the creators capturing moments with Speed as fans recorded the interactions on their phones.

Collaboration With Tengetenge

During the city tour in Nairobi’s Central Business District, IShowSpeed was accompanied by Ugandan content creator Tenge Tenge, also known for his online presence, highlighting a cross‑border connection between East African digital personalities.

Their joint appearance was included among the highlights of the Nairobi stop, alongside local creators and international guests.

Collo Blue Joins the Tour

Kenyan dancer and influencer Collo Blue accompanied Speed throughout much of the day, appearing in nearly all the locations the streamer visited.

Collo Blue was seen alongside Speed during his first public stop in Nairobi, sharing moments as Speed sampled local cuisine.

Videos show them trying Ugali, Kenya’s staple dish, as they interacted with fans and captured the reactions for social media.

Later, Collo Blue joined Speed in a colorful nganya matatu, touring through Nairobi’s Central Business District. The duo engaged with fans along the route, with Collo Blue helping coordinate and amplify crowd interactions.

Spectators took videos as Speed and Collo Blue rode through city streets, waving to onlookers. During a street market visit, Collo Blue also assisted Speed in bargaining for souvenirs and clothing, showing him how to negotiate prices and interact with vendors.

Road Caravan and Vindee’s Obsession

In the early afternoon, IShowSpeed’s convoy passed through parts of Nairobi in what was described by some attendees as a road caravan, drawing a dense crowd and recording activity across the streets.

Among those present was prankster Vindee, a Kenyan prankster and content creator, who, according to social media footage, exhibited a keen interest in the visiting streamer  met Speed in a memorable moment while both were in separate vehicles moving alongside each other.

Vindee, who had expressed excitement and admiration for Speed, waved vigorously and greeting each other from his car.

Videos show Vindee energetically leaning out of the window, shouting greetings, and visibly enthusiastic as Speed acknowledged him from the adjacent vehicle.
