Tajikistan has emerged as the top-ranked country in the 2025 Law and Order Index, with 97 per cent of residents reporting that they feel safe walking alone at night.

Singapore follows closely at 95 per cent, while Kosovo ranks third at 94 per cent.

China, Iceland and Vietnam each score 93 per cent, underscoring strong public perceptions of safety.

Norway records a 92 per cent score, while Austria, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and Uzbekistan each post 91 per cent.

The rankings are based on Gallup surveys conducted across 144 countries, covering more than 144,000 respondents worldwide.
