General perception of the year 2025/ROSA MUMANYI

An Infotrak end-of-year survey released on December 28, 2025, shows that Kenyans hold a predominantly neutral to negative perception of the year 2025.

According to the poll, 40 per cent of respondents described the year as "just average," while 29 per cent viewed it as "generally bad" and 12 per cent as "terrible".

Combined, these negative sentiments represent a 41 per cent lean against the year.

Conversely, only 19% of the population felt positive, with 14 per cent describing it as "generally good" and a small 5 per cent as "excellent".

These findings reflect a year largely defined by significant economic and political challenges.
