Expectations for the year 2026

An Infotrak end-of-year poll released on December 28, 2025, reveals significant public uncertainty regarding the upcoming year.

When asked if 2026 would be better than, the same as, or worse than 2025, the largest group of respondents, 30 per cent, stated "I don't know".

While 29 per cent of Kenyans expect the year to be "better than 2025," 25 per cent anticipate conditions will remain the same.

Conversely, 16 per cent of those surveyed believe 2026 will be "worse than 2025".

These findings highlight a cautious and divided outlook among the population as the new year begins.
