Former President Uhuru Kenyatta recently made a rare public appearance at the wedding of his nephew, Jomo Gecaga, offering a glimpse into a closely guarded family celebration.
Kenyatta was spotted alongside his mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, and other family members as they posed for photos at what was described as an intimate and private ceremony.
Jomo Gecaga tied the knot with his longtime partner, Lola Hannigan, in a low-key wedding attended by close friends and relatives.
The moment surfaced online after businesswoman Anerlisa Muigai shared a short clip on her Instagram Stories, capturing the former head of state in a relaxed, familial setting, far removed from the political spotlight.
The wedding comes during a joyful chapter for the couple. Earlier this year, Lola Hannigan revealed that she and Gecaga are expecting their second child together. Sharing the news on social media, she wrote, “May the blessings spin the block and multiply tenfold. Living in answered prayers.”
Hannigan has also been vocal about her admiration for her husband. On his birthday, she penned a heartfelt tribute, celebrating both his role as a partner and a father.
“Happy birthday my love. Thank you for loving me with a depth that words can hardly hold. Thank you for being such an incredible father and always leading with love and warmth. You are my calm, my constant, my home,” she wrote.
