President William Ruto joined other leaders from the Luo community Wednesday for the 5th Piny Luo festival.

The event is held at Thimlich Ohinga historical site in Migori County.

ODM leader Oburu Odinga was also present.

Several Cabinet Secretaries alongside Governors also attended.

In his address, Ruto expressed his commitment to supporting the construction of a "proper "cultural site in the area to make sure "we inscribe what happened here."

"It is because of our culture that we can approximate the present and plan the future and therefore the more consolidate where we came from, the history of our communities and our nation, the better we can plan today and the more we can predict the future," he said.
