Carrol Sonie revealed that her decision to allow Mulamwah back into Keilah’s life was driven entirely by their daughter's well-being.

She stated that she wants the best for the child. Sonie emphasised that Keilah is not part of the differences that led to their breakup.

She decided that their past disagreements needed to be put aside for Keilah's sake. Sonie admitted that initially, she had denied access, but she eventually realised that doing so was only hurting her daughter.

“For me to come to an agreement, or even to allow you, because honestly speaking, Keilah is not part of our differences. I would rather put those differences aside and make sure she has the best life or anything. I know it took time for me to understand that,” she said.

Putting Differences Aside

Mulamwah finally reached out, and Sonie noted that he called, expressing that he was ready to see his daughter. Mulamwah also confirmed that he had spoken to Sonie's father about the matter, referring to him as a "very good friend".

Sonie confessed that she had resisted the reunion for a while. However, she acknowledged the significant sacrifice and responsibility involved in staying away from one's child. She believed that eventually, people grow, and trust can be rebuilt over time.

The comedian himself admitted that he had been missing his daughter. He said that he had prepared to be a present father but found himself missing out on vital moments.

Mulamwah noted that it takes a lot of sacrifice to stay away from a child, calling it "very difficult."

Hope for the Future

Sonie stressed that for them to even sit down and have this discussion took "a lot" from both of them. She stated that she is proud of Mulamwah for taking accountability for his past actions.

Moving forward, the focus remains on Keilah. Sonie expressed that she and Mulamwah should now strive to be "the best of friends."

They hope to plan better for their daughter's future. Sonie’s final request to Mulamwah was that they remain respectful and adhere to boundaries, as they are doing this for Keilah.

“Let's just be respectful. We respect boundaries... we're doing this for Keilah.”

The pair agreed to work together to ensure Keilah receives the best possible life. This new phase marks a commitment to co-parenting for the benefit of their daughter.
