Lifestyle content creator and entrepreneur Lydia Wanjiru recently shared her shock over a hefty restaurant bill, highlighting a costly purchase that contrasted sharply with her previously revealed KSh 2 million cosmetic surgery expenditure.

Wanjiru, known on social media as 'Lifestyle Relational Facilitator,' took to her Instagram story to share a receipt detailing her surprise.

The Price of a Pair

The entrepreneur posted a photo of an itemised bill from a hotel. The bill showed a total expenditure of KSh 5,900.

A major source of her shock was a specific line item: Sausages, listed at KSh 1,600.

The receipt also showed other expensive items. These included Mixed Grilled Meat for KSh 3,000 and Plain Chips for KSh 700.

Wanjiru immediately questioned the price of the simple breakfast food.

"Guys, I'm still shocked. How's a pair of sausages 1,600/=???"

She stated that she had confirmed the price with two staff members. She learned that KSh 800 was the cost for just one sausage.

A Costly Lesson Learnt

Wanjiru compared the restaurant price to retail prices. She noted that a packet of 26 sausages costs around KSh 780 in a normal shop.

The price disparity led to a personal reflection on checking costs beforehand.

She admitted her fault, writing: "Weeh ok ama ni mimi sina pesa? Nitajifunza kuuliza price before" (I will learn to ask the price before).

This incident of "pain" over a KSh 1,600 sausage bill came shortly after Wanjiru dominated headlines for a much larger expenditure.

The KSh 2 Million Transformation

Lydia Wanjiru has been consistently making news due to her open BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) journey.

She publicly disclosed that she spent upwards of KSh 2 million on a series of cosmetic procedures. The surgeries included a tummy tuck, liposuction, and the BBL itself.

Wanjiru’s candidness ignited a national conversation in Kenya about body standards and the rising trend of elective surgery.

Extended Recovery and Public Debate

The influencer has openly shared the challenging side of her recovery with her followers.

She told the public that she could not sit down for weeks to allow the transferred fat to settle correctly. She recently celebrated sitting down again after a 40-day recovery period.

Wanjiru warned prospective patients that "These things require money." She stressed that anyone considering the procedures should have at least KSh 2 million set aside.

Her public stance also drew her into an online clash with other content creators. Wanjiru defended her decision to undergo body enhancement against those who criticised cosmetic surgery trends.
