Fitness enthusiast, socialite, and YouTuber Corazon Kwamboka has publicly affirmed her position in the ongoing discussion surrounding body modification, stating she is.
The discussion centers on the growing trend of cosmetic procedures like the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and the rigorous alternative of physical training.
Kwamboka summarized her philosophy as advocating for a physique that is "I’m team gym serves results. Built not bought.”

The 'Built Not Bought' Stance
Kwamboka contrasted the commitment required for the gym with the fast-track nature of cosmetic surgery. She described the BBL route as a quick, simple process: "pay, fly out, recover on your stomach, return snatched".
Furthermore, she noted that those who opt for BBL procedures "pay once, heal, maintain kidogo and they’re outside again."
The path to a gym-earned physique, according to Kwamboka, is markedly different, involving a long-term commitment that she describes as: "Wake up at 6 am, lift heavy things, cry, repeat for years".
While acknowledging this struggle, she emphasized that BBL might deliver quick results, the gym serves results in mindset and health which are the parts you can't buy.

Cost Analysis and Local Celebrity Cases
Kwamboka also offered a detailed, albeit humorous, comparison of the financial costs involved in both choices, challenging the perception that fitness is the cheaper option.
She listed extensive costs associated with the gym lifestyle, including a gym membership, personal trainer fees, protein and food, supplements, gym clothes, a fitness watch, a lifting belt, gloves, straps, and sometimes physiotherapy.

She concluded that by the time the total gym expenditure is calculated, the BBL invoice might start looking like a discount.
By the time you’re done that BBL invoice might start looking like a discount,” She quoted. Despite the cumulative cost, she maintained her preference, stating, "But I still pick the gym".

Kwamboka’s comments arrive amid a notable increase in Kenyan female celebrities and influencers undergoing body enhancement procedures, fueling a significant online debate on self-image and cosmetic surgery.
Public figures such as influencers Murugi Munyi and socialite Risper Faith have spoken openly about undergoing procedures like 360 liposuction, with Faith noting her procedure cost Kshs 450,000 to remove eight litres of fat.
Singer Tanasha Donna has also faced public speculation regarding a butt augmentation procedure.
The trend has led to public exchanges between various creators, including Pritty Vishy and Lydia Wanjiru, who have defended the choice of body enhancements against critics.
