The legacy of the late Kikuyu gospel musician Betty Bayo is set to endure through her professional agreements.

News has emerged that her contract as a Brand Ambassador for a company will not be cut short, even after her sudden death.

This commitment was announced by Bayo’s close friend and fellow artist, Shiru Wa GP, following a high-level meeting.

Contract to Continue

The agreement was reached after Shiru Wa GP met with Sarah Mtalii, the CEO of the company, Virtuous Explorers, and Wakili Mwenda Njagi. The meeting was held days after the singer's passing.

Shiru Wa GP confirmed the positive outcome on her Facebook page.

“Betty Bayo was a Brand Ambassador at Virtuous Explorers. Following yesterday's meeting with Virtuous Explorers CEO Sarah Mtalii and Wakili Mwenda Njagi, it was agreed that Betty Bayo's contract with Virtuous Explorers will continue even after Betty's sudden demise,Shiru explained.

The decision ensures that Betty Bayo's professional relationship with the company remains active posthumously.

Securing the Children's Future

The agreement also included a plan to secure the future of Betty Bayo’s children, Sky Victor and Dany.

Shiru Wa GP stated that after the funeral, she, along with Bayo's husband, Tash, and her ex-partner, Pastor Kanyari, would meet with Virtuous Explorers.

The goal of this follow-up meeting is to negotiate a new contract extension for Sky Victor in honor of his mother. This move is intended to "secure Sky Victor's and Dany's future".

Betty Bayo, whose real name was Beatrice Wairimu Mbugua, was a renowned Kikuyu Gospel Artist and businesswoman. She gained fame with her hit song, "Eleventh Hour".

She passed away while receiving treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH). Sources close to the family revealed that the "11th Hour" hitmaker had been battling a terminal illness. She was reportedly diagnosed with Leukaemia at an advanced stage.

Her passing has been met with sadness across the music industry and among fans, who remember her for her faith and resilience.

The decision by Virtuous Explorers to honour her contract ensures that her contributions continue to be recognised and provide for her family.
