Senator Allan Chesang and his fiancée Chanelle Kittony are officially married after a grand traditional wedding ceremony held in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

The colourful event took place just a day after Chesang delivered dowry to the Kittony family, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the young couple.

The Invite-Only Affair

According to the official invitation, the ceremony was an exclusive, invite-only affair, attended by close family, friends, and high-profile guests. The card read in part:

“We are excited to invite you to the koito celebration and chaik of Chanelle Kittony to Sen. Allan Chesang on Saturday, November 1… This occasion marks a joyful milestone, and we are honoured to share it exclusively with our invited guests.”

Chesang made a statement in a white shirt paired with a regal purple embroidered vest and a matching fedora, perfectly aligning with the theme.

His groomsmen looked sharp in two-piece purple suits and black hats, while the bride, Chanelle, stunned in a royal purple and white gown, exuding grace and elegance.

Kiprono Kittony’s Emotional Speech

Business magnate Kiprono Kittony, Chanelle’s father, stole the show with his lighthearted yet emotional speech. Welcoming guests to the ceremony, he expressed his gratitude to his daughter for “doing the right thing” and formalising her union with Chesang.

“As a family, we are honoured for Chanelle doing the right thing and bringing this fine gentleman as her husband. We say a big thank you to you, our daughter,” he said.

Kittony, known for his humour, went on to joke about the challenges of raising four daughters, saying that despite having CCTV cameras, German Shepherds, and an electric fence, Chesang still managed to sneak past to visit Chanelle.

“Many times, I could see him on my CCTV cameras remotely, and I wasn’t sure he was the right guy — but in the fullness of time, we appreciate that they have both chosen to do the right thing,” he added.

A Blessing from the Mothers

Kittony’s wife, Rosemary, also shared a touching message with the couple. She thanked Chanelle for being a dependable firstborn and a pillar to her sisters, blessing the couple with words of wisdom.

“Guard each other and guard your home,” she said. “Chanelle has been raised to be strong and responsible, and I know she will take good care of her family.”

The proud parents concluded by reminding Chesang that Chanelle came from a strong matriarchal lineage — one defined by hard work and resilience — and urged him to cherish and protect her.
