The County Government of Kisii has announced over 300 job vacancies across various departments as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery in education, health, and technical training.

In a notice issued by the Kisii County Public Service Board (CPSB), the county invited qualified applicants to apply for three-year contract positions in the Departments of Education, Technical Training, Innovation and Social Sciences, and Medical Services, Public Health, and Sanitation.

In the education sector, the county is seeking to recruit 200 Assistant ECDE Teachers II, with 50 positions under Job Group G and 150 under Job Group F.

The move aims to boost early childhood education by addressing the growing teacher shortage across public ECDE centres in the county.

The Department of Medical Services, Public Health, and Sanitation has the largest number of vacancies, covering a wide range of positions in both clinical and technical fields.

The county is looking to hire medical officers, nurses, clinical officers, pharmacists, dentists, and technologists. Specifically, there are 15 openings for medical officers, two for dentists, and two for pharmacists.

The department also seeks to recruit two biomedical engineers and two biomedical engineering technologists to support hospital equipment maintenance and operation.

To strengthen specialised medical services, the county is hiring one clinical officer each in anaesthetics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, and nephrology.

Nursing positions are among the most numerous, with five openings for critical care nurses, five for theatre nurses, six for anaesthetist nurses, three for neonatology nurses, four for nephrology nurses, and two for cardiology nurses.

The county is also recruiting ten degree-qualified general nurses, 25 registered clinical officers, 110 registered nurses, and ten enrolled nurses to boost human resources across hospitals and health centres.

Further, the county has announced vacancies for two dental technologists, four optometrists, 15 pharmaceutical technologists, and 30 medical laboratory technologists.

Other advertised roles include five orthopedic trauma specialists, five orthopedic technologists, eight public health officers, four community health officers, and four community oral health officers.

Additional specialized openings include four perfusionists, three physiotherapists, three morticians, four radiographers, four theatre technologists, and four health records officers.

The Kisii County Public Service Board emphasized that all positions will be on a three-year contract basis.

Applicants must be Kenyan citizens and meet the specific qualifications for each role.

They are required to submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, and a copy of the national identity card.

All documents and testimonials must be certified by a Commissioner for Oaths. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and successful applicants will be required to present clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau and other documents outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

The board warned that canvassing or failure to attach the required documents would lead to automatic disqualification. It further cautioned applicants that Kisii County Public Service Board does not charge any fees or use recruitment agents. Women and persons living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications should be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly indicating the position applied for and addressed to the Secretary, Kisii County Public Service Board, P.O. Box 1848-40200, Kisii.
