A Kenyan man named Herman Kamariki has gone viral with a blunt video message for men everywhere: be extremely cautious around your neighbours' children. Dressed in a sharp blue suit, Kamariki's no-nonsense advice has sparked a huge debate online.
His core message is simple: never let a neighbour's child into your house or offer them food, no matter how harmless it seems.
He says that while many Kenyans grew up in communities where sharing was common, those days are long gone. What was once a kind act could now land you in prison.

He gives a powerful example. Imagine you come home from work and are cooking a meal. A neighbour's child wanders in, and you kindly give them a plate of food. If that child later falls ill or if the food goes bad, you could be the main suspect.
Kamariki also warns of a growing risk of false accusations. He claims that men can be easily framed for serious crimes like defilement, sodomy, or rape. Petty disputes, jealousy, or rejected advances from a child's mother could all be motives for a malicious lie.
Kamau claims that a child's simple statement is all it takes to ruin a man's life.
"He took his thing and put it in my thing."
His solution is drastic but clear: avoid all unnecessary contact with neighbours. "Don’t even say hi," he advises. "Just lock your door when you leave or enter your house. Don't be that person on the plot."
The video, while grim, has had a mixed reaction in the comments. Some found it a necessary caution, while others saw it as a sign of a broken society.
Here's what some people had to say:
@i.am_dave: "Omba sana usiwahi jipata kwa situation yenye ni God tuh anajua uko innocent." (Pray hard that you never find yourself in a situation where only God knows you are innocent.)
@grandson_frmda254: "The world is cooked??."
@danteh_mrodundo: "Ndo maana me nikipika sikosi kupika na pilipili most." (That's why when I cook, I always add a lot of chili.)
@mr_meell: "This nigga karibu aumalize mwendo ndo maana ameona aonye wengine?." (This guy almost got to the end of his race, that's why he decided to warn others.)
