Hulk Hogan, the larger-than-life wrestling superstar who brought professional wrestling into the mainstream, has died at the age of 71.

The news was confirmed by wrestling promoter Eric Bischoff, Hogan’s longtime friend and partner in the newly launched Real America Freestyle wrestling league.

According to TMZ, emergency services were called to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday morning following reports of cardiac arrest.
