Kenya’s beloved Mugithi star Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, is back—and he's not coming quietly.
The singer, who also serves as a police officer, has officially confirmed his return to the country after wrapping up a whirlwind musical tour across the United States.

Announcing his comeback on his official social media channels, Samidoh teased a massive homecoming party slated for July 26, 2025, at a popular Nairobi entertainment venue.
The event is expected to bring together fans, fellow musicians, and high-energy performances from a star-studded lineup.
“Finally, it’s time to be home! This is not just a show—it’s a celebration of the love you keep showing me, on and on,” Samidoh wrote in his post, triggering excitement across the Mugithi fanbase.
The party will feature a powerhouse cast of performers including Tonny Young, Joyce wa Mama, DJ Dibul, Bahati, Jose Gatutura, Wanja Asali, and the ever-popular Waithaka wa Jane.
A Journey Across the U.S.
Samidoh had been in the United States since May 29, 2025, and performed in various states during his 47-day stay. His first concert took place in Houston, Texas on June 21, followed by shows in Austin (June 28), Lowell, Massachusetts (July 4), Dallas (July 5), and finally Seattle, Washington (July 12), where he officially closed his tour.
The tour, dubbed "Ngemi ci Ruraya" (Songs Abroad), was a major milestone for the artist, reinforcing his status as not just a local legend, but a global Mugithi ambassador.

Samidoh: The Brand Beyond Borders
Known for chart-toppers like Wendo wa Urĩa and Tuhii Twitu, Samidoh has built a loyal fanbase that spans continents. His US shows were sold-outffairs, drawing Kenyans in the diaspora who crave a taste of home through his guitar-led Kikuyu ballads.
Back home, his return marks the start of a new chapter—one where music, identity, and community converge.
