Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has once again showcased his famously flamboyant lifestyle and deep pockets, this time during a grand double wedding celebration in Tanzania.

The politician, widely known for his philanthropy and love of luxury, was evidently in high spirits as he attended the lavish unions of the children of his close friend and long-time associate, Mzee Chief Kiumbe.

The vibrant event saw the marriages of Ally B & Septuu and Ally S & Amney, with guests treated to an opulent display of music, dance, and festivities.

In a captivating video shared by popular Tanzanian MC Luvanda, Sonko was seen thoroughly enjoying himself at the colourful affair.

However, it was during the traditional gifting session that the former governor truly stole the show.

In full view of an astonished crowd, Sonko dramatically pulled out wads of crisp hundred-dollar bills, meticulously counting them one by one before generously showering the two newlywed couples with the cash.

Addressing Kenyan Affairs Amidst Celebrations

Even amidst the joyous celebrations, Sonko did not shy away from addressing serious matters of national importance.

In a brief yet impactful speech, he touched upon the ongoing unrest in Kenya, subtly hinting at the political and social challenges currently facing the country.

His remarks underscored his continued engagement with national affairs, despite no longer holding public office, reminding attendees and his followers of his enduring interest in Kenyan governance.

The former governor has consistently made headlines for both his extravagant lifestyle and his often-headline-grabbing stunts.

Earlier this year, Sonko, a self-professed die-hard Arsenal fan, fulfilled a bold promise after the English football club suffered a defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in a Champions League clash.

Vowing beforehand to crash his luxury Lexus into a wall if Arsenal were defeated, Sonko famously stayed true to his word—literally ramming the car into a barrier, much to the amusement, and indeed disbelief, of his vast online following.
