Students who were not placed in any of their top choices will be guided on the next steps, including the revision of courses.
KUCCPS is a government agency that centrally places students into universities and colleges in Kenya for government-sponsored programs, established in 2014.
It provides career guidance, disseminates information about available programs and advises the government on placement-related matters.
They play a vital role in the Kenyan higher education landscape by coordinating the placement of students and ensuring they have access to suitable learning opportunities.
KUCCPS aims to ensure equitable and efficient placement of students, considering factors like merit and affirmative action, so as to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce and the overall advancement of higher education in Kenya.
It works closely with various institutions, including universities, colleges and training institutes, to facilitate the placement process.
KUCCPS reopened the online application system on June 1, 2025, for revision of choices for placement of students to universities and colleges for the 2025/2026 placement cycle.
The reopening of the system came after the window for application was closed on May 27.
According to KUCCPS, the new window for revision began May 31 and ended on June 7.
“The KUCCPS application system is open for the Second Revision of University, College and Programme choices," KUCCPS said in a statement.
"KCSE holders who have not applied for courses or those who applied but were unsuccessful are invited to apply. The system will close on June 7, 2025."
