Kenyan hip-hop trio Wakadinali have officially released their highly anticipated album Victims of Madness 2 on 28 June 2025, igniting buzz across the local music scene.

A sequel to their critically acclaimed 2020 album Victims of Madness, the new project has been lauded by fans as a bold, gritty continuation of the group’s raw storytelling.

The trio—Scar Mkadinali, Domani Munga, and Sewersydaa—dive deep into Nairobi’s street culture, touching on themes such as crime, poverty, loyalty, and survival.

The 22-track project fuses diverse sounds including drill, trap, boom bap, and even elements of gengetone, all while staying true to Wakadinali’s signature blend of Swahili, Sheng, and English.

Prior to the full release, the group had already dropped several singles—Maproso, Hizi Stance, and Tamashani—which dominated the airwaves and built momentum for the album.

The album also features a strong lineup of collaborators including rap legends and rising stars. Kitu Sewer, Abbas Kubaff, Masterpiece, Katapila, Pepela, Sodough Dough, and Suzanna Owiyo all lend their voices, with Owiyo’s soulful contribution standing out as a genre-bending highlight.

More than just music, Victims of Madness 2 reflects real life. Wakadinali use the album as a platform to speak for Kenya’s youth—particularly those facing hardship—while addressing betrayal, resilience, and ambition.

It’s a gritty portrait of urban life and an anthem for underrepresented voices.

While their first Victims of Madness album secured their place in Kenya’s rap landscape, this sequel cements their legacy as fearless storytellers and genre leaders.

With Victims of Madness 2, Wakadinali aren’t just rapping—they’re documenting a generation’s truth.
