Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known by his stage name Wiz Khalifa, is one of the most recognisable figures in hip hop, celebrated not only for his chart-topping hits but also for his unabashed embrace of cannabis culture.
In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 37-year-old rapper opened up about his daily smoking habits, revealing that he smokes around 30 joints a day to stay relaxed and centred. Khalifa described it as a form of "mental exercise", explaining that he enjoys going about his daily activities while high.
“Someone explained it really well the other day,” he said. “You smoke and then try to do normal stuff during the day. I enjoy that.” He added, “Yeah, I have a lot to do. I work out, I have kids, and I still do many things.”
Reflecting on how his cannabis journey began, Khalifa shared that he first started smoking as a teenager while hanging out in recording studios. “It was just for music purposes, like being in the studio and hanging around other musicians — it was just the thing to do,” he said. “It kind of became something that, you know, later on in life, helped me to get through a lot of things.”

Wiz has long been open about his cannabis use. In various interviews, he has claimed to spend as much as $10,000 a month on marijuana and has proudly confirmed that he smokes daily.
However, since early 2014, Khalifa no longer pays for his weed. He is sponsored by The Cookie Company, a medical marijuana dispensary that distributes his signature strain, Khalifa Kush.
Beyond his cannabis advocacy, Khalifa's music career began with his signing to the independent label Rostrum Records, where he released his debut studio album.
He later entered a short-lived joint venture with Warner Bros. Records before parting ways and independently releasing his second album, Deal or No Deal.
In addition to music, Khalifa has ventured into acting. He appeared in the TV series Dickinson and The Eric Andre Show, and starred alongside Snoop Dogg in the 2012 stoner comedy Mac & Devin Go to High School. He has also lent his voice to animated shows including American Dad!, Duncanville, and Big City Greens.
