Comedian and content creator Kendrick Mulamwah has given his controversial views on polygamy, the intricate dance of showbiz, and his ambitious plans for future comedy shows following his successful stint at the Kenya National Theatre.

Talking to entertainment journalists in a meeting convened by content creators on the issue of BCLB’s blanket ban on betting firms using influencers to push their advertisements, Mulamwah distanced himself from the possibility of ever finding himself in a polygamous marriage.

Mulamwah, known for his unconventional takes, however, acknowledged polygamy as a societal choice.

“I've never been a polygamist myself. It's something I used to do when I was young. But, what I can say, I don't think I stand a good position, it's the choice of people,” he said.

His quick shifts in relationships are, according to Mulamwah, simply a reflection of his popularity and not a show of polygamy traits.

"I'm a hotcake, by the way. I can't stay on the shelf all my life," he declared, boldly stating that he "can't stay single for one hour." He embraces the notion that being an artist in the public eye means constant visibility.

"It's normal, it's normal. They're used to looking at me. Now, I don't give them a show. It's as simple as that. That's why it's called showbiz. I'm a showman and I run a business,” Mulamwah clarified.

For Mulamwah, his personal life appears to be intrinsically linked to his brand, a deliberate part of his script as a showman. He even mentioned having a team to manage his online presence, suggesting a calculated approach to his public persona, aiming to protect his mental state by not personally handling every post.

Beyond his relationship chronicles, Mulamwah is set to expand his comedy empire. His previous stand-up special, "Let Me Explain," held at the Kenya National Theatre on April 20, 2025, was, by his admission, a tense but ultimately successful venture.

"Honestly, I was nervous. I was tensed," he confessed, attributing its success to last-minute ticket sales and the unwavering support of his fans. He learned valuable lessons from the KNT show, particularly regarding venue size and quality. "The venue was smaller," he noted, hinting at bigger things to come.

Looking ahead, Mulamwah is not resting on his laurels. He revealed ambitious plans for a nationwide tour, aiming to bring his unique brand of humor to a broader audience in various major towns.

"We shall be going to Eldoret, Mombasa, Kisumu God willing, we'll get good results. Then, we'll call these artists to raise other talents," he announced.

A key aspect of his future shows will be his continued commitment to nurturing new talent.

"I believed in the upcoming artists who I didn't know much about. Those are the guys I brought on stage. I still believe in their craft and that people should see them."

He plans to release edited videos of his KNT performance soon, ensuring those who missed it can still experience the show.

Mulamwah's love life has been a constant topic of discussion, particularly his rapid transitions between relationships. His recent soft launch of Debbie, coupled with a new car, came swiftly after his public breakup with his long-term partner and baby mama, Ruth K.

The comedian and Ruth K had a relationship spanning over four years, marked by a traditional ceremony in October 2023 and the birth of their son in February 2024. Despite a grand proposal in February 2025, Mulamwah announced their separation in April 2025, fueling speculation that his relationship drama might be a strategic part of his "showbiz" persona.

This quick shift to "Aunty Debbie," a Ugandan woman he coyly refers to as his "friend" but whose full face he's yet to reveal, has kept the rumor mill churning, contributing to his trending status.

Mulamwah's journey continues to be a compelling blend of personal drama, calculated showbiz moves, and a genuine passion for comedy.
