Kenyan content creator Diana Marua has once again put her long-awaited wedding to musician Kevin Bahati in the spotlight after questioning her partner about when they will finally walk down the aisle.

The question comes as the couple marks about a decade since their relationship began, making their delayed wedding one of the recurring talking points around their public love story.

Diana puts Bahati on the spot

In May 2026, Diana directly questioned Bahati about the absence of a formal wedding despite their years together.

“If I were you, by now, we are going to clock 10 years. Why haven’t you ever put a ring on it?” Diana asked.

The remarks revived a conversation that has followed the couple for several years.

Diana and Bahati first met in 2016, according to an account she shared in August 2026 while celebrating their 10-year relationship milestone.

Their relationship has since grown into a family, with the pair raising children together.

Several wedding dates have come and gone

The couple's wedding plans have been announced publicly on more than one occasion.

In 2023, Bahati announced plans for a wedding, with December 12 initially mentioned as the big day. The ceremony did not happen, and October 2024 was later discussed as another possible date. That plan also did not materialise.

Bahati later proposed to Diana again in February 2025 after eight years together.

During the proposal, he promised to give Diana the wedding she had been waiting for.

“I want to give you the wedding you've been waiting for,” Bahati said.

The occasion was presented as a step towards their long-awaited ceremony, with March 1, 2025 announced as a possible wedding date. However, that date also passed without the couple holding the expected white wedding.

Their traditional union

Despite the delays surrounding the white wedding, Bahati has taken steps towards formalising the relationship traditionally.

In October 2023, he paid dowry to Diana's family in a ceremony that was attended by relatives and documented on social media.

The ceremony marked another milestone in their relationship, although the couple's much-discussed church or white wedding has remained outstanding.

Ten years together

Diana's latest remarks come against the backdrop of a relationship that has survived public scrutiny and repeated speculation.

In June 2026, she shared photographs of herself and Bahati while reaffirming her faith in their relationship.

“God has and will always be in this story @bahatikenya,” she wrote.

For now, the question remains the same one Diana has raised publicly: when will she and Bahati finally have the wedding they have promised their fans for years?

With the couple now marking roughly 10 years together, their next wedding announcement is likely to attract considerable attention — particularly from followers who have watched several proposed dates come and go.
