The government has advertised several job opportunities in various state agencies that qualified Kenyans can apply for.

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) have announced 30 and 42 job opportunities respectively in various departments.

KRA and KMA, through the Tuesday edition of My Gov are seeking to hire experienced individuals with high integrity to fill the various vacant positions.

KRA is seeking to fill the position of a supervisor in the Business Strategy, Technology and Enterprise Modernisation Department.

The positions include supervisors big data operations, data Integration, data quality and stewardship, business artificial intelligence, reporting and analysis, corporate planning and modernisation, security tool operations, operational efficiency project Portfolio, data governance in both data protection and awareness category and Vulnerability Management and Investigation Support; one each.

The authority is also seeking to fill the positions of domestic taxes/customs projects portfolio, business transformation office and software development with two supervisors required for each position.

Interested applicants are urged to submit their applications online by June 16, 2025.

Other positions adververtised by KRA include one vacancy for supervisor includes asset management, research survey, statistic analysis, capacity management and business continuity, network management and design and planning.

Supervisors for business application support, cloud architecture, system administration, business transformation office, knowledge management strategy and programmes and service support Southern region, customs house and outstation are also being sought.

“Canvassing, falsifying or misrepresentation of qualification will lead to automatic disqualification.”

KRA highlighted that they don’t charge any fee in the recruitment process and noted that only shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted.

Shortlisted candidates will be expected to bring the original certificates for verification during the interview.

The certificates include good conduct, HELB clearance, tax compliance from KRA and a current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.

“It is a criminal offence to present fake certificates and to include incorrect information in the application,” KRA warned.

On the other hand, KMA is seeking to recruit a highly competent, proactive and self-driven individual to fill the vacancy of the Director General.

The Authority is also looking to employ a senior maritime transport logistics training officer, a senior administration officer, a legal officer, a surveyor, seafarers training standards (nautical and engineering), a maritime labour officer and six search and rescue officers.

The authority is also seeking to fill two vacancies of office administrators, three senior ports and shipping services officers, five drivers, two deckhands, two office assistants and two principal ship surveyors.

Other positions include that of a supply chain management assistant, ICT assistant, legal clerk, merchant shipping fees officer, licensing and seaborne trade officer, principal surveyor( maritime security and search rescue), principal maritime labour officer and a principal surveyor, seafarers training and standards (engineering and nautical).

KMA is also looking for a principal finance officer, principal accountant, port scale control officer, assistant director registration of ships, inspections and survey and director maritime, education, training and labour.

The Authority stated that each application should be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of relevant academic and professional certificates and transcripts, National Identity Card or passport, testimonials and other relevant supporting documents.

Additionally, an applicant must indicate the reference number for the position applied for and submit either as a hard copy, online or post application.
