Beyoncé's latest tour, the Cowboy Carter, has shattered records, proving once again her unparalleled status as a global icon.
On May 9, Beyoncé wrapped up a historic run of five shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles.
The tour got underway on Monday, April 28, with shows scheduled for May 1, 4, 7, and 9. The celebrated music icon played to over 43,000 fans at each show, earning an average of $11.1 million per night.
The tour's debut in Los Angeles generated a staggering $55.7 million, surpassing previous single-venue records held by both Shakira and Coldplay.
According to data provided to Billboard Boxscore, 217,000 tickets were sold and $55.7 million was made during the Cowboy Carter Tour's debut.
Beyoncé's more than $50 million run in Los Angeles surpasses both Shakira's seven-night stay in Mexico City and several stops on Coldplay's Asian tour as the largest single-venue engagement of 2025 to date.
In addition, it is the fifth-highest grossing tour stop in Boxscore history, only surpassed by the eight nights of Take That at Wembley Stadium in London (2011), the two legs of U2's Sphere residency in Las Vegas (2023–24), and Harry Styles' 15 performances at Madison Square Garden in New York (2022).
The engagement is noteworthy for being the highest-grossing single-venue event ever reported by a woman.
By the end of this week-long run, she will have performed at SoFi Stadium eight times since its opening at the start of the decade, more than any other artist in the venue's history.
Three of those appearances were in 2023. The tour may not even reach its peak with the shows in the Los Angeles area because a five-night stay at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which is 13 miles from New York, could challenge that $55 million take.
Though ticket costs abroad are frequently lower than the soaring prices in the US, Beyoncé will have her longest run at a single location in London, spending six nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

By using Cowboy Carter Tour numbers in the Los Angeles region as a guide and comparing city-by-city to past tours, it seems that Beyoncé's 2025 run is headed straight for the $300 million Billboard had initially predicted.
With the exception of the 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which lasted 56 shows as opposed to the current Cowboy Carter Tour's 32, it will gross more than all of her prior tours combined.
Live Nation estimates that more than a million people will attend. According to preliminary reports, Beyoncé's career Boxscore earnings for the Cowboy Carter Tour exceeded $1.4 billion, with 11.9 million tickets sold.
Up until the trek's conclusion on July 26 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, those totals will keep rising. From her strategic partnerships to her innovative marketing approaches, Beyoncé has built a brand that extends far beyond music.
The Cowboy Carter Tour exemplifies this business savvy, as it harnesses the power of social media, merchandise, and fan engagement to create a holistic experience that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Her ability to leverage her platform for social change further enhances her brand, making her not only a performer but also a cultural leader.
