Musician and entrepreneur KRG the Don has joined the bandwagon reacting to the news of Stevo Simple Boy vying for a political seat in 2017.

Simple Boy announced that he will be joining the political arena ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections, and KRG is here with his honest opinion.

Speaking on Milele FM, KRG alleged that people these days do and say ridiculous things just to remain relevant on social media.

According to the self-claimed billionaire, Simple Boy, is one of the many people who are chasing clout with politics just to remain relevant.

“There is one thing I have come to understand; I think people have seen fame as a drug. So, when they are not in the news or are not talked about, they become like patients. They even want to take off their clothes, andyou see a person who is completely grown up but wants to do strange things just to trend, get clicks, and likes,” KRG said, referring to Simple Boy's recent announcement.

KRG, however, warned fellow artists to be careful with the things they do for fame, as the internet never forgets.

“You know these things remain on the internet, and after 50 years, you feel like you were really stupid. You feel ashamed, ‘now what was I doing?’. That is big nonsense,” KRG warned.

The artist said that the internet these days has been turned into a place of dumping all kinds of garbage, considering that many people on the internet are attracted to absurd things.

He further mentioned that meaningful things are always ignored on the Internet.

“You know, the internet these days has become like a dumping site for nonsense. Many people who make sense on the internet do not get views and likes. But when you post nonsense, that is where the clicks and likes come from,” KRG further added.

Last week, the Kibera bred rapper hinted that he’ll be going for an MCA seat for Kibera in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to SPM Buzz, the artist—affectionately dubbed as "Dragon Moto Testing"—explained his motivation:

"Apart from being a brand influencer, I am also an aspiring politician. I want to lead the people of Kibera. I’ll start from the bottom, as an MCA, because our youth lack jobs and complain about inaccessible bursaries. I want to solve these issues firsthand."

While some dismiss his announcement as a publicity stunt, Stevo insists his decision stems from genuine concern for his community.

He praised leaders like Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, who prioritise constituents' needs, and dismissed the notion that "politics is a dirty game," urging voters to "choose wisely."
