The management of Konde Gang Music Worldwide, led by Harmonize, has officially suspended their signee Ibraah from any musical engagement until their differences are resolved.

Through a public statement posted on Konde Gang's Instagram, the label lamented how Ibraah has decided to publicize the issue despite being aware of the procedures to be followed if he wants to leave.

The statement signed by the label's management announced the ban against Ibraah to take effect immediately from May 11, 2025.

“Effective today, 11/05/2025, the management of Konde Gang Music Worldwide has officially suspended their artist, Ibrahim Abdallah Nampunga (Ibraah), from performing or participating in any musical activities as stipulated in his contract with the label,” part of the statement read.

Konde Gang made it clear that the ban will be enforced until the stand-off regarding the artist's contract is resolved in accordance with Tanzanian art laws.

In addition to the ban on any musical involvement, Konde Gang also warned Ibraah against discussing the issue of his contract either on social media or in the mainstream media.

“Konde Gang prohibits Ibraah from publishing, speaking, or makinganycommunication regarding this matter in the media or on social media. This includes any communication of any kind that may damage the image of the Label or humiliate the CEO of the Label, who is an artist.”

The label also outlined the repercussions that will befall Ibraah if he decides to turn a blind eye to this warning and go ahead to do the opposite.

"We issue a strong warning that if this is violated, the Label will not hesitate to take legal action against him in court. Konde Gang Music Worldwide continues to call on Ibraah to follow the proper communication procedures as stipulated in his contract, to reach a mutually beneficial solution,” the letter concluded.

Without mentioning whether it is true that Ibraah has been asked to pay the amount of one billion, Konde Gang clarified that Ibraah remains an artist under them legally and said they cannot prevent him in any way from leaving if he follows and adheres to the relevant procedures.

However, it is clear that one billion shillings is involved in this saga, if Harmonize's words are anything to go by.

Harmonize, in his very first post on the issue, a week after Ibraah raised it, admitted that the artist has a one billion release clause if he wants to leave.

Later, Harmonize clarified the clause and said that he did not ask Ibraah to pay one billion directly, specifying that if someone or a company with more ambitious goals than Konde Gang wants to take the artist, then they should pay the money for Ibraah to be free.

Konde Boy said that even though Ibraah is a friend, and whom he regards as his younger brother, that does not mean that the artist is free to leave without ticking all the relevant boxes as stipulated in the contract.

He mentioned that business is different from friendship or brotherhood.

Harmonize said that despite being a close friend of Diamond Platnumz, when it came time for him to leave WCB Wasfi Label at the end of 2019, he was forced to pay, and he did so by using loans and mortgaging some of his assets.
