The causes of death were diverse, ranging from illness to sudden health complications.

The most recent loss is Edward Kwach, who passed away on April 28.

Others include Ben Ochieng Ogodo (April 17), Silas Apollo (April 10), Fofona Bangali (March 28), Nick Mudimba (March 23), Fredrick Parsayo (March 21), Njoroge Mwaura (February 24), and veteran broadcaster Leonard Mambo Mbotela (February 8).

These losses have sent shockwaves through the journalism community, with colleagues and institutions mourning the passing of some of the country’s most talented and dedicated storytellers.
