The proportion of respondents who reported having accessed government-subsidized fertiliser stood at 69 per cent in January 2025, the highest in the last four surveys.

Respondents who reported to have been unable to benefit from the subsidised fertiliser programme cited several reasons such as not being able to travel to the fertiliser collection centres owing to the long distances involved.

Similar to findings in previous surveys, others reported that they did not bother to register for the subsidised fertiliser as they preferred to purchase fertiliser of their own choice
