President William Ruto laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Khwisero Mother-Child Level IV Hospital on Wednesday.

The president said the government is expanding and equipping healthcare facilities throughout Kenya to deliver accessible, quality, and affordable medical services to everyone.

We are constructing over 400 modern markets across the country to strengthen the agricultural sector and drive economic growth in rural and urban areas,” the president said.

He added that through these markets, farmers will access a larger pool of traders.

Ruto also launched the construction of the Luanda Modern Market in Vihiga County, which will accommodate more than 2,000 traders.

“Another four such markets will be constructed in the county, offering businesses access to advanced storage facilities to reduce post-harvest losses,” he added.

The President was accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Health CS Deborah Barasa, among other leaders.
