"After eight beautiful years of love, music, and family on One Love at Citizen TV, it’s time for a new chapter," she wrote.
Talia described her experience as transformative and heartwarming, stating that her audience played a pivotal role in making the show more than just a program.
"You tuned in week after week, sang along to every anthem, and made this platform more than a show; you made it a home," she added.

Throughout her farewell, Talia drew inspiration from reggae's most profound lyrics. Quoting Joseph Hill of Culture, she remarked, "Love shines brighter than the morning sun," showcasing the deep connection she felt with her audience.
She also cited Bob Marley's famous words, "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain," attributing her love for reggae as a guiding force in her life and career.
While stepping away from One Love, Talia assured fans that this was not the end but rather the beginning of an exciting new journey.
"While this chapter is closing, I promise you, our story is far from over. There are even greater things aligned, and I can’t wait to share them with you," she hinted.
Talia's final show is scheduled to air on Saturday, January 25, 2024. Her message comes a few weeks after fellow radio star, Eric Latiff revealed that he was leaving Spice Fm after a 6 year period at the station.

Born on February 26, 1984, in Kenya, Talia was raised in a musically inclined family. Her father, Maurice Oyando, a respected music producer, played a significant role in nurturing her passion for music.
At just 17, she formed the music group Talma, and in 2001, they released their debut album, Jambo Rafiki, officially marking her entry into the music industry.
Talia's career spans radio and television, having gained prominence as the host of The Juice on Homeboyz Radio before moving to Citizen TV.

In 2010, Talia got married Ezekiel Onyango, a film and television director and CEO of Film Crew in Africa.
